SECRETARY GENERAL ON COURTESY VISITS IN MOROCCO

On Wednesday 22nd Nov 2023, the Secretary General AAYC, Hon. Dr. Abbas Agaba held a meeting with Hon.Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister for Youth, Culture and Communication of Morocco.
In this meeting, the Minister commended the work of AAYC and encouraged the organization to continue its partnership and networking with Morocco. Hon. Mohammed also invited the Council to partner with them and join activities of the Pan African Youth Union for the progress of youth in the region.

In attendance was the Secretary General of the Istiqlal party; Ms. Amina Hilmi, the Deputy secretary General AAYC and Mr. Mohcine Elbouzaidi.

Relatedly, Hon Dr Abbas Agaba and AAYC team had the pleasure of meeting the Mayor of Tangier, Mr. Mounir Lymouri. The mayor addressed the need for Morocco to have a good network with East Africa and invited the Council to have more engagements with Tangier.

He also expressed interest in the trade and industrial sector of Uganda and alluded that the two countries cooperate and create linkages through AAYC, for the promotion of trade and economic development.
