In a demonstration of Nigeria’s commitment to youth empowerment and regional cooperation, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) led by the Secretary-General, Dr. Abbas Agaba. This meeting, held at the SGF’s office, emphasized the government’s dedication to supporting the AAYC’s mission and vision.
SEN George Akume , acknowledged the role of Nigerian Youth in National Development and assured the AAYC delegation of President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to harnessing youths potential. During the courtesy visit, the SGF expressed gratitude to the AAYC for appointing a Nigerian, Comrade Akoshile Mukhtar, as its Regional Coordinator for West Africa. He encouraged the council to continue its commendable work in advancing the interests of youth across Africa, reaffirming the government’s support for such initiatives.
The Secretary-General of AAYC, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for creating an enabling environment for youth participation in governance, evident in the appointment of young leaders to key positions. He appealed to the government to provide Comrade Mukhtar with the necessary support to effectively carry out his duties as Regional Coordinator.
