Ugandan Diplomats Pledge Support for AAYC Headquarters, Back President Museveni’s Fundraising Drive

The Secretary General Hon. Dr. Abbas Agaba led a team from AAYC high-level meetings with various ambassadors of Uganda accredited to the different AAYC member countries.

Uganda’s diplomats pledged to support the construction of the AAYC international headquarters as well as follow up H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s fundraising letters dispatched to their countries of accreditation.

The Secretary General highlighted that the headquarters would serve as a symbol of unity and a shared vision for the future of Afro-Arab youth.

He stressed the need for all AAYC member states to commit to the project, ensuring that collective efforts yield tangible results.

There was a call to develop a comprehensive master plan for the AAYC headquarters, emphasizing the need for a realistic and well-justified approach.

The ambassadors collectively believe that successfully securing the necessary funds will not only facilitate the construction of the headquarters but will also reinforce Uganda’s leadership role within the council.

Below are some of the ambassadors that were present during these meetings:

1. Egypt-Lt Gen Charles Angina – Uganda’s Deputy Head of Missions in Egypt.
2. HE Evans Aryabaha – Acting Head of Mission at the Uganda High Commission in Kenya.
3. Amb. Mohammed Kezaala – Deputy Head of Mission in Qatar.
4. Amb.Paul Amoru – Ambassador of Uganda in South Africa.
5. Kintu Nyago – Deputy ambassador of Uganda in south Africa
6. AMB. AMUGE OTENGO – Ambassador of Uganda in Adidsi Ababa /Ethiopia.
7. Joshua Kivuna – Ambassador of Uganda in Algeria
8. Amb Mirjam Blaak – Ambassador of Uganda in Netherlands
9. Brig General Ronnie Balya – Ambassador of Uganda in South Sudan
10. David Wamono – (Represented Ambaasador of Uganda in Sudan)
15. Amb Nimisha Madhvani – Uganda’s ambassador in UK
16. Oscar Edule – Ambassador of Uganda in Tehran
