AAYC Expands Partnership with the National Youth Council of Uganda

The Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) has taken another significant step in advancing youth empowerment and leadership by extending its collaboration with the National Youth Council of Uganda (NYC). This milestone was marked by the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), witnessed by the NYC President, Daniel Ongom, alongside his distinguished delegation from the Council.

This partnership underscores a shared vision and renewed commitment to strengthening youth leadership, participation, and development across Uganda and beyond. By bringing together the expertise and networks of both AAYC and NYC, the collaboration aims to create impactful opportunities that address the evolving needs and aspirations of young people.

At the core of this partnership is a strategic focus on empowering youth through innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development. The two institutions will work jointly to design and implement programs that equip young people with practical skills, enhance their employability, and support their transition into sustainable livelihoods. This includes promoting digital innovation, fostering creative industries, and supporting youth-led enterprises to thrive in an increasingly competitive global landscape.

In addition, the partnership places strong emphasis on amplifying youth voices in governance and decision-making processes. Recognizing that young people are key stakeholders in national development, AAYC and NYC are committed to ensuring that youth perspectives are actively integrated into policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation. Through dialogue platforms, capacity-building initiatives, and advocacy campaigns, the partnership will create space for meaningful youth engagement at both local and national levels.

Furthermore, this collaboration aims to strengthen civic awareness and leadership capacity among young people. By nurturing a new generation of informed, responsible, and proactive leaders, AAYC and NYC seek to contribute to building inclusive, peaceful, and progressive societies. The partnership will also explore opportunities for regional and international engagement, enabling Ugandan youth to connect with their peers across the Afro-Arab region and beyond.

The signing of this MoU is more than a formal agreement; it is a powerful statement of intent. It reflects a unified commitment to unlocking the full potential of young people and positioning them at the forefront of sustainable development.

As AAYC continues to expand its network of partnerships, this collaboration with the National Youth Council of Uganda stands as a testament to the transformative power of collective action in shaping a brighter future for youth.
