Afro-Arab Youth Council Inks Landmark MoU with Egyptian Youth Council
The Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) has taken a bold and strategic step in advancing youth cooperation across regions by officially inking a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian Youth Council. The agreement was signed during a high-level engagement where AAYC was represented by its Secretary General, Hon. Dr. Abbas Agaba, alongside his Deputy, Amina Hilmi, while the Egyptian Youth Council was represented by Dr. Mohammed Mamdouh.
In a bid to expand its frontiers and deepen engagement within the Arab world, AAYC continues to position itself as a leading platform for youth collaboration. The Egyptian Youth Council, known for its wide influence and strong engagements across many Arab states, brings invaluable experience and reach to this partnership. For AAYC, this collaboration is both an honour and a strategic milestone that strengthens Afro-Arab youth relations.
Through this MoU, both organizations have agreed to promote joint training programs, exchange visits, and youth exchange initiatives aimed at building capacity and strengthening cross-cultural understanding. A key component of the partnership is the establishment of a joint advisory platform focused on supporting young people, particularly those recovering from conflict and war-affected areas, while also advancing advocacy and lobbying efforts for greater youth opportunities.

Additionally, both councils will explore cooperation with universities in Egypt and Uganda to widen the engagement of young people within institutions of higher learning. This approach is expected to expand access to knowledge, networks, and opportunities for youth, further reinforcing the shared vision of empowering the next generation across Africa and the Arab world.
This MoU signals a new chapter in Afro-Arab youth collaboration one defined by shared ambition, stronger partnerships, and a unified drive to shape a better future for young people.
