With over 800 participants from over 55 AU Member States, the gathering was geared at celebrating the African Union’s 20th Anniversary under the theme: AU@20: Repositioning the Youth Agenda for a transformative continent. Moreover, the Symposium agenda was tailored to bring youth and decision makers for an intergenerational dialogue to upscale youth participation in democracy and good governance.

Delegates attending the Kampala Afro- Arab conference and exhibition have criticised the stereotypes of poverty and misery reflected in the agriculture sector which has become one of the reasons discouraging the youth from joining the sector.

Several delegates from different member countries arrived through Entebbe International Airport in Uganda to participate as representatives from member countries. This was a sign of peace and unity among the Afro Arab Youth Council to revamp the organisation after its silence due to the Arab Spring and the Covid -19 pandemic that claimed many lives and slowed down the pace of developing this organisation.
