Afro-Arab Youth Council and Algerian Ambassador Forge Pact to Boost Educational Opportunities Across Africa and the Arab World

In a significant move to bolster opportunities for youth across Africa and the Arab world, the Afro-Arab Youth Council held a meeting with H.E. Mourad Amokrane the Algerian ambassador to Uganda at the Algerian Embassy in Kampala.

The delegation, led by the Secretary General, Hon. Dr. Abbas Agaba engaged in comprehensive discussions aimed at strengthening ties between the two regions.

The two parties discussed on expanding educational opportunities for young people and extending a hand towards construction of the headquarters on the land provided by the president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

During the meeting, the Secretary General also underscored the importance of collaboration between African and Arab nations, emphasizing that the future of both regions hinges on the empowerment and education of their youth.

He highlighted the need for increased support in the form of scholarships, which would enable young leaders to pursue higher education and gain the skills necessary to contribute to their communities and beyond.

On his hand H.E. Mourad Amokrane Ambassador of the Republic of Algeria to Uganda acknowledged the vital role that education plays in fostering development and stability.

He expressed their commitment to exploring avenues for collaboration, particularly in providing scholarships and facilitating exchange programs that would allow students from Africa and the Arab world to learn from each other’s experiences and cultures.

This meeting is part of the Afro-Arab Youth Council’s broader mission to enhance cooperation between Africa and the Arab world.

By advocating for educational opportunities, the Council aims to equip young people with the tools they need to drive social and economic progress in their respective regions.

As the Afro-Arab Youth Council continues its efforts to build strong networks and resources for youth, this visit marks a crucial step in ensuring that young people from both Africa and the Arab world have access to the educational opportunities they deserve.
