AAYC Secretary General Meets His Imperial Majesty Dr. Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife

In a significant display of cultural diplomacy and support for youth initiatives, the Afro Arab Youth Council (AAYC) Secretary General and team had the honor of a courtesy meeting with His Imperial Majesty Dr. Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Council of Cultural Leaders. This meeting showed the importance of cultural leadership in promoting peace and development across the African and Arab regions.

During the interaction, His Imperial Majesty expressed his delight in meeting the AAYC team, recognizing their efforts in fostering peace and cultural exchange between African and Arab nations. He pledged his full support for the AAYC and the newly established West Africa Regional Coordinator office in Nigeria. The Ooni emphasized the critical role of cultural leaders in bridging divides and promoting mutual understanding and cooperation among young people from diverse backgrounds.

The Ooni of Ife fondly recalled his previous visit to Uganda, during the wedding anniversary of President Museveni. His Majesty expressed his eagerness to return to Uganda, further indicating his commitment to strengthening cultural ties and collaboration between the nations.

As a gesture of appreciation for his unwavering support and commitment to the council’s mission, the Secretary General honored His Imperial Majesty with the AAYC regalia. This symbolic presentation reflects the council’s deep gratitude and recognition of the Ooni’s significant contributions to cultural promotion and youth empowerment. The regalia serves as a token of respect and a symbol of the strong partnership between the AAYC and the Ooni’s cultural leadership.
