Afro-Arab Youth Council together with the Busia District Woman Member of Parliament Auma Helen, hosted Muslims to a Ramadan Iftar to mark the holy month of Ramadan .
The colorful function took place at the Main Noor Masjid in Busia District and was attended by prominent Muslims, leaders among others.
Some of the guests included, the AAYC president Dr.Abdul Haddi Lahweeg, Dr. Hon Abbas Agaba, Alajeeli Ahmed Alajeeli, Abdi-sallam Najou, Jihad Atef Makhalif and Woman Member of Parliament Auma Helen.
Speaking at the event, the District Khad, Sheikh Jamil Juma thanked the minister for bringing the Afro Arab Youth Council team to the district as he described that they needed a hand in the completion of the main mosque which the event took place.
The AAYC President, Abdul Haddi, thanked the Muslim community of Busia for the love they showed and promised to have a meeting with the leaders of the mosque, the woman area Member of Parliament and find away of completing the construction process.
After, the Iftar, the Woman Mp, requested the president and his delegation to have a tour to the Kenyan side known as no mans land as a gesture of appreciation to come to her district.
