The AAYC president Mr.Abdulhadi Lahweej, and the Secretary-General of the Afro-Arab Youth Council, Hon. Abbas Agaba among other members were invited for the Iftar dinner at statehouse by His Excellence Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
In His remarks which were contained in a speech delivered on his behalf by Vice President Major (Rtd) Jessica Alupo on Friday (April 14) urged all believers to endeavour to join wealth creation simply because life has both spiritual and material needs where one cannot satisfy the spirit and starve the body.
I want to use this occasion to rally the Muslim community to join the NRM’s wealth creation sensitization drive that I am currently conducting across the country. Whereas we can have spectators in sports and theatre, wealth creation must involve everyone,” Museveni emphasized.
The occasion provided an opportunity for important figures to meet, including the Mufti of the Republic of Uganda, the Deputy Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament, accredited members of the diplomatic corps in Uganda, and various political and national figures from different regions of the country.
