AAYC and UAE Embassy Strengthen Ties to Empower Youth Across Africa and the Arab World

This morning, the Afro-Arab Youth Council (AAYC) delegation, led by Hon. Dr. Abbas Agaba, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Abdalla Al Shamsi, the UAE Ambassador to Uganda. During the visit, the delegation had a fruitful discussion with the Ambassador on a wide range of issues concerning the AAYC’s work and the supportive role of the UAE Embassy.

Both parties agreed to foster a strong working relationship, with H.E. Al Shamsi pledging the UAE Embassy’s support for AAYC programs. This collaboration will involve engaging the youth and students of the UAE in various meetings, activities, and training programs organized by the AAYC. They further discussed building a solid foundation for stronger relations between the Arab world and Africa.

The council highlighted its ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at fostering peace, development, and cultural exchange among youth in Africa and the Arab world.

H.E. Al Shamsi pledged the UAE Government’s support for the construction of the AAYC International Headquarters in Uganda, a significant project spearheaded by H.E. the President of Uganda, who is also the Patron of the AAYC.

The Ambassador also expressed the UAE government’s commitment to supporting youth-centric initiatives, acknowledging the potential for a stronger partnership with the Afro-Arab Youth Council.

This meeting underscores the Afro-Arab Youth Council’s dedication to building strategic alliances that can drive positive change for youth across the regions. As both parties continue to explore opportunities for collaboration, the council remains optimistic that this partnership with the UAE will lead to impactful initiatives that empower the next generation of leaders in Africa and the Arab world.
