The Minister of Youth and Children Affairs, Hon. Dr. Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, reaffirmed his commitment to spearheading the organization of the Afro Arab Youth Council (AAYC) 21st Anniversary, vowing to ensure the event is a resounding success.
Hosting the AAYC executive committee members at the Ministry of Gender, Labor, and Social Development, the minister underscored his readiness to follow up on the necessary funding pledged by President Yoweri Museveni to facilitate the anniversary celebrations set for May 25th this year.

In a significant development for the Afro Arab Youth Council (AAYC), President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed former Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda as the Special Envoy to spearhead fundraising efforts for the construction of the AAYC headquarters in Nakawuka.

The appointment was made during a high-level meeting at State House, Entebbe, where a delegation of AAYC executive members, led by Secretary General Hon. Dr. Abbas Agaba, engaged the president on the council’s progress and future plans.

In a landmark gathering at Speke Hotel, Kampala, the Executive Committee of the Afro Arab Youth Council (AAYC) convened to assess the organization's progress and strategize for the future. Chaired by Mr. Ebenezer Oyetakin the Chairman Audit and Supervisory Committee, the meeting underscored AAYC’s dedication to fostering unity, peace, and socio-economic transformation across Africa and the Arab world.
